This is why I hope they just DFA Blanton. This guy cannot be on the team next year at all. He sucks as a starter and sucks as a reliever. They cannot waste a roster spot with this dude on the team. He offers nothing

Don't offer HAnson arb either and cut him loose. Give Vargas a qualifying offer and see what happens, but I don't really want them signing him to a multi year deal. He's not a bad pitcher, but his stuff is that of a #4 pitcher and they can't really afford to be spending whatever cash they have to spend on guys with his meh stuff for multiple years. If he accepts the offer then whatever, they have him for 1 year which isn't that bad.

Weav/CJ/Richards should be the current starters for next season, with Vargas as a potential 4th option. See what is out there via trade/FA. Put Williams back as the long reliever where he excelled. Get creative with finding bullpen options

13 pages and going ... Very impressive guys and girls. Here I thought you guys gave up and were not going to watch anymore games.

Bravo

You'd make a good posterchild for Lithium.

it's surprising that the angels are below .500. baltimore has a worse pitching staff and offense and they have over 60 wins. it doesn't really make sense.

Their pitching staff is better than ours, their defense is 1st in the MLB, and their offense is consistently excellent. You couldn't be more incorrect.

The Orioles are clutch. The Angels are not.

they have a couple of decent relievers, but their starting rotation isn't good. fangraphs also shows the angels' offense is one of the best in the league even with hamilton playing like shit.

Good offense doesn't amount to much when your defense is nearly dead last in the entire league. I suppose Baltimore is a good example of what the Angels could have been this year had they focused on defense.

FWIW, Baltimore is 4th in offense while the Angels are 8th (Toronto's 5th).
