Our closing situation

Obviously Ernasty isn't so nasty anymore who do we put there? Kohn, Jep, or Blanton? I've heard some whisper about Blanton trying to close games out but I'm not sure how this would work. Also with Vargas coming back that would mean a move to the bullpen, Williams or Richards would be out there again so one of them could give it a shot.

I'd probably give Kohn the first chance to close.

We tried Kohn, Dean, Jepson all can't close. The only one who could close was Cello, but he's on the DL or maybe released.

Looks like the next Great Closing Hope is Morin.

He's got the two pitch repertoire (heat and nasty change ala Soria and Hoffman). His control is excellent.

Alvarez throws the hardest and also has the 2nd pitch (slider). But his control needs work.

I don't really think it matters.  Frieri will get released, and go to another team and somehow figure it out.

But watching all these pitchers do well once they leave the Angels.  Makes me wonder, is it really Dipoto's fault for not building a pitching staff, or the staff for not coaching properly.

No easy answers. Kohn, I guess. More than anything, this bullpen needs to be scoured.

No more injury guys. No more risks with the bullpen. Just get the guys with solid numbers even if we have to make trades. This has to be fixed.

Using the words "closing situation" with this team is misleading and inaccurate.  The only thing this team has closed are its winning opportunities.
