  I don't think Brandon Wood could hit Major League pitching if you surgically implanted Albert Pujols' swing in him.

Brandon's numbers were never more impressive than Nick Gorneault after High A ball. Saying he had a lot of talent is quite misleading. He had a lot of hype after 43HR's at RC. But not a lot of talent.

I think that Brandon fooled all of us. I still think that someone could have worked with his swing, made it shorter. When he was with the Bucs with no pressure, I realized that everything was all hype. I guess the biggest mistake the Angels made was not recognizing he did not have a major league future, and he should have been packaged for a piece the team needed.
