I know we can just say "oh he's getting surgery so he won't play any more this season, this makes sense", but how often does a guy's locker just get cleaned out like this with 2+ weeks left in the season?

I think all the people telling him hes the greatest player of all time might be going to his head. Either that or the Angels have given far too much autonomy in making decisions that he doesn't realize that this looks bad.

Gutted.  Absolutely gutted.  Knew it was coming but still sucks.  Can’t believe we didn’t get to see a “final game” either

It was a pleasure watching you do incredible things, Shohei. If you do leave us, which I personally think he will, I will root for you wherever you go with Boston and Houston being the exceptions. 

This just feels like the beginning of a breakup lol.

So much for fifty homers and more history. Years from now historians will speculate about what might have been this season. 

I have a feeling that this may have/could have been his peak career year. 

Of course he will still be great if fully recovered,but arguably the best complete  hitter and one of the top pitchers at the same time, again?  

So much depends on health, where he plays,how compliant his organization is with his wishes and if he regains that killer state of mind.

I hope there at least is a more formal end of his season and he makes himself available to the media. Otherwise it doesn't send a good message to the fans who have supported him from the beginning.

Some people need to learn how to read between the lines regarding Rendon as well.

If he had elected to have his surgery did he voluntarily just give his locker up. He's still part of the team. maybe he would like to just go in the locker room and hang with his homies and have a locker to look at his pics of his girlfriend or put his glove or jockstrap on.

Idk man...just don't seem right.
