Would Moniak have been acquired for Syndergaard without Marsh Trade?

@Roy Hobbs apparently thinks since the Angels and Phillies made two separate trades in the span of less than 24 hours that Marsh and Moniak have zero to do with one another.

Marsh was traded for O'Hoppe you see, and has nothing to do with the Moniak and Sanchez swap for Syndergaard less than 24 hours later. (Rolls Eyes)

Sure, why not?  He had a minor league option, the team needed outfield depth.  It’s about the highest upside value they’d get for a guy like Syndergaard
