none of you apparently read Jeff Fletcher's articles, which is surprising since they're literally posted on this website.

But since you missed it: Mike Trout is expected to get the day off Friday. The Angels have been trying to avoid having Trout play immediately after a cross-country flight, because he’s been injured in the past in that situation. His calf injury in 2021 was the day after a flight from Boston to Southern California. In 2022, he was hurt twice within a couple days after flights from the East Coast.

Back in the day before first class flights and Four Season accommodations players had to walk 20 miles thru snow,sleet, rain and ice, just to find out the game was cancelled.

And then they did the same thing the next day...and played!

He was actually a really good player, but Borg and Connors are among the greatest of all time. But certainly, he would probably have been better if he was less interested in disco 'tang.

Sorry but I do not buy the argument that there is a causal relationship between playing days after you travel and injuries.
