You clearly didn't know them very well -- they have always been exactly like this.  They just go away anytime one of the other Seattle teams is doing well.   Biggest collection of loudmouth homers you will ever come across.

There is a Mariners fan on a Facebook baseball group who is claiming that they should be odds-on favorites to win the World Series, and that the Astros are done. According to this guy, the season is just for show until the trophy goes to Seattle.

Unfortunately for him, you have to be in the World Series to win it, and so far...
