Beaches

What are some of your favorite beaches to visit in Southern California, or anywhere in the world?  For the majority of my life, the only beaches I really visited were Newport, Huntington, and Laguna, but I've started exploring recently.  Checked out the beaches in Long Beach, Seal Beach, Redondo, and Malibu, and I'm next planning to check out the beaches in Dana Point and San Clemente

growing up for me it was manhatten, redondo, hermosa, and el porto/dockweiler. 

as an adult, it's maui.

Cantamar in Mexico. At least 20 years ago it was amazing. Its like Mexican Pismo. Dunes and all. Bring your quad, rail and a few 30 racks. Great time.

Nice pull. I’m trying to organize a trip there with a couple other families. There are some awesome VRBOs on the water. Quite pricey though. Plus Princeville is nearby for food and golf.

@Taylor have you stayed in that area before? If so where? We were going to stay at the St. Regis there a few years back but it was going to shit and they were about to sell it so we got a room at the Hyatt down on the south end of the island. I was bummed we couldn’t stay up there in the bay area but I’m not gonna lie the Hyatt was awesome.

Last time I went to Kauai we rented a house on the beach in Poipu on the south end of the island

I have that book sitting on a shelf in my office and plan on starting it soon. I hear it’s much better than the movie. Everyone is British in the original story which makes more sense.

Hope you ate at the Beach House. It reminds me of Mama’s Fish House on Maui.

Shipwreck Beach in Poipu is really nice too.
