What a good year that was. I got a job promotion, bought my first house in Mission Viejo (which three years later I sold for nearly 4x the amount I paid for it) and the best part, our youngest was born on Dec 20th, 2002. Crazy that she's 19-years old now.

I bet that house is now worth $1.2M.

6-14

...and the 14th loss was the most excruciating of all. 1-0 to Seattle. Angels left the tying run on 3rd base in the 9th inning, and also in an earlier inning.

After that lowest of low points (we were 10.5 games behind Seattle on April 23rd!), there was the magical weekend at home against Toronto with the two Eckstein grand slams, the second one a walk-off in the 14th inning. Then we went to Cleveland and destroyed the Indians 21-2 which continued an amazing run of 21 wins to 3 losses, and the rest was history.
