One of the worst Technical Fouls ever called in the Illinois/Houston game.  Called the kid for “showboating/hanging on the rim” when it was clear his momentum was going to carry his head into the backboard.  Bullshit call.

The officiating in the tournament, in my opinion, has not been the greatest.

Yes I’m the 80s the ACC tournament ticket was more expensive and harder to get than the super bowl. Duke doesn’t have near the fans in state as UNC. You’ll probably see unc ass hats all week.

Both. All we’re on tv. Part of the price was the tourney was 7 games total. The tournament was almost always in NC and a short drive for 7 of the 8 teams. NC state basketball was a national power and unc‘s biggest rival. The whole conference was good in those days. Shit   We we’re watching the tournament in elementary school back then. I guess the younger generation aren’t big fans. You can get reasonable tickets every year now.
