A little of both, at least to my eye.  Some bad luck, but didn't do much to minimize damage.

I'm still surprised Maddon pulled him after 2 innings with a lead, though.

So far Perry's two FA pitching acquisitions have been pretty bad, outside of one decent Quintana start and a solid start by Cobb against the White Sox what seems like months ago.

Yeah -- that's why I'm asking you guys.  Pulling him after 50+ pitches where he's not walking the planet seems, well..  dumb.

@Inside PitchOne run scored from second on a ground ball to Fletcher who was shifted into the outfield and his throw to first was just late. Another run scored on a ground all to SS but the shift was on.

Month in and half the rotation already looking like a huge problem.

The Angels have had plenty of shots at getting pitchers.  Pretty frustrating.  Anyway.  Gotta just hope for the best.  Not great so far with Quintana and Cobb.  Obviously.

You know...  Im really starting to wonder if it's bad luck or bad defensive alignments -- because it's happening A LOT.
