Rolling Stone issues embarrassing fact check after viral hospital story spreads like wild fire on social media

"Although Dr. Jason McElyea is not an employee of NHS Sequoyah, he is affiliated with a medical staffing group that provides coverage for our emergency room. With that said, Dr. McElyea has not worked at our Sallisaw location in over 2 months. NHS Sequoyah has not treated any patients due to complications related to taking ivermectin. This includes not treating any patients for ivermectin overdose," the statement reads

Liberal consumption of bullshit is a much bigger problem than rednecks eating horse meds.

rolling stone published this fake story and a whole bunch of outlets picked it up and ran with it. none of them thought to check out the story for themselves, though we are frequently reminded that the media won't publish a story unless they can triple check their sources for accuracy.

the professional media keeps lowering the bar on their own credibility, and none of them seem the least bit concerned about it.

And once it's been all over social media it's almost impossible to take it back

People will still believe it

A lot of the iver problem is avoidable. It’s a safe drug that doctors have prescribed off label in the past and present. The fda hasn’t been completely forthcoming about their own studies into Iver. We live in a country where you can get all the pain killers, weed, puberty blockers, and hormonal treatments that you desire. There is no public shaming or concern shown from the fda on any of this. Yet, a Trump supporter right or wrong wants a simple pill no more dangerous than viagra can’t get it prescribed

Agreed. This basically explains how Trump was elected in 2016.

he effectively used "fake news" to his advantage, and the media kept feeding into his theory time and time again. people who could see how the media was being driven by an agenda instead of merely reporting on what was happening rallied around his narrative, and it helped him win.

This is true. The media (even the "liberal MSM") couldn't get enough of him and kept peddling his racist, authoritarian, and regressive platform. It was all about the clicks. If he had been treated like the fringe candidate he was, he would have gone away.

You do know he worked with the publisher of the National Enquirer to publish actual fake news right?

He was on board with them even back in the 90's when I worked at the company that printed that rag.  Every day 10 different copies on my desk going out making him look like something he never was. Thing is he believes every bit of it.  They created the royal. Fake news, anti-establishment, elitists, those were all his dreams of becoming all along.  He just had to convince everyone to hate what he yearns for and finding they are stupid enough to vote for it.

That’s the main reason I didn’t vote for him in 2016. I’ll never say Trump is a perfect man of character. One has to be almost willfully ignorant to not see a double standard in the media. It’s the main reason working class people have left the Democrat party. I bet half the hard core Trumpers are former dems. The only whites left in the Democrat party are rich elites and underachieving millennials looking for a handout.

Biden actually got more conservative voters than Trump did with liberals. The big difference was moderates. Biden won that group by 30 points.

There was certainly a Rep establishment protest vote for Biden. I’m not sure that many moderates exist. Aw is a small sample but most the moderates are more outspoken in support of libs. There is a lot about Trump not to like but I am willing to ignore his lack of conservative values if it means defeating the dems. The days of Clinton vs Bush are long gone. There really wasn’t a huge difference. Now,  We are basically in a fight of between average Joe, the, establishments, and the crazy left.
