2). Adell in a trade could bring a pitcher to the Angels likely better than someone like Wheeler.

To have this discussion, you need a name.

So you're either going to get an established guy for a short period (Syndergaard or Kluber for two years, for example) or some hotshot pitching version of Adell, which goes against your whole point about position players being safer bets.

I think the sweet spot would be a guy like Walker Buehler, who is very good and proven and still has lots of control left, but for that reason I don't think the Dodgers would do it.

It's just hard to find a match for a player like that unless you're damn sure that you're one player away from being great and can do it for a short-term guy.

Fair.  I dig Adell.  My first through tenth choices are to keep him.

I guess I am just admitting that for the RIGHT deal I would be willing to listen because ultimately I care more about winning than specifically following Adell.

I would trade Adell if it was a good trade. I not sure he is as good as the hype. I think people like him because he a good looking, well spoken and hard working athlete.  Compare his minor league numbers to Trouts or Woods. He is not going to be a Trout and maybe more likely to be a Woods. If we can get a known talented SP for an unknown talented OF, I say do it.

I think there's a T missing from your name.
