Recently DFA’d by Milwaukee, how would you guys feel about bringing him back?  I think he’d be the perfect guy to start just to get us through the season, and keep guys like Suarez in the minors.

Chacin has a negative 0.5 WAR and an ERA and FIP in the high 5's. I doubt there are many pitchers who aren't better than Chacin in 2019.

He did have success with SD and Milwaukee in 2017 and 2018 after leaving here.

2019 - 3-10 record, 5.79 ERA, 1.55 WHIP

Yes, they have been pitching since little league and all of that usage piles up. So all of the data accumulated by MLB goes out the window because you don't think additive innings past a fixed limit will do damage?

Anyway @Blarg that was a fair and good question. It’s a tough situation. We have no clear indicators that prove otherwise. These guys get like 5 days rest between starts and they usually go 4-5 innings. Some guys have zero issues and others have problems.

Which Cole? The guy on the Astros that has a succession of increased innings at the MLB level or the reliever for the Angels that hasn't pitched past 70 innings since 2016?

Any one of those would be an interesting add to the farm.
