that career .665 ops in over 4200 minor league plate appearances is impressive.

kid is playing well, hustling and is playing all over the infield.... has showed a little pop also!

 

might be surprised where he ends up.... And he has options and you don't need to start the clock on another kid. He is the equivalent of our numerous relief pitchers who were shuttled between Salt Lake and Anaheim last year. When his options are used up he becomes waiver wire material. You did notice Tovar was playing 2nd today right? He hasn't played there professionally as of yet...

Similar thought process between Parker making the team as the 4th OF. who can play corners lefty with pop and Kole can move to CF to give Trout his day off. If it doesn't work Waiver Wire go to the next.

Had a passing thought about saying something pithy about Zack's setback, but the thought has passed. He'll be back.

Be wary of shiny young toys aiming to impress during the first third of the Cactus schedule They will return to the back fields soon enough. 

Maybe somebody will break through. Just don't expect instant Hall-of-Famers setting batting records when the real pitchers are really trying to get them out.

no one expecting instant hall of famers.  Just a few cheap, reasonably productive players to replace expensive unproductive ones.
