Halos about to be 12 games under .500

Recommended Posts

I never imagined a train wreck to this degree. This team is on pace to be one of the worst in franchise history. One of the very worst. This team could be worse than some of the 90s teams. And when you think they can't hit any new lows, they do.

Did any of you see this coming? I know some of you weren't as homerish as others, but did anyone believe this team wouldn't win at least 85 games?

Provided that Weaver stayed healthy all season, I was expecting about 89 wins, and a possible second wild card berth. Mine was one of the most pessimistic predictions on the board.

My expectation was the team would be slightly worse than 2012, but that "free wins" against Houston would make up for it. I also expected AL West as a whole to be very strong though with both TEX and OAK finishing above 90 wins and in the playoffs, Seattle finishing with around 75 wins, and Houston finishing with about 40 wins.

As it turns out Texas is playing with half their team on the DL and still has the best record in the league and every other AL West team is under .500, in some cases WAY under (Angels on pace to lose 102, Astros are in fact on pace to lose 120 though).

I didn't expect anything nearly this bad.

I thought at worst they'd win like 85 games or something. I, like many others here, were skeptical about the pitching, but I don't think any of us thought the pitching would be THIS bad. Losing Weav was a huge blow, and they haven't really had Burnett/Jepsen in the pen much so far this year + Madson hasn't made a single appearance, but still, the pitching has been a downright disaster

This team's poor defensive play is just completely baffling to me, though. There is really no reason for this team being so bad on D, it should be a strength of theirs

Basically, even if you were a pessimistic fan about the team, you probably weren't this pessimistic. Everything that could go wrong, has.
