There are several candidates running in the the general, including the guy she beat in the primary. He's running on something called the Working Families Party. She's not a shoo-in. I don't have the current polling though.

This is kinda related, but it appears a blue wave is forming all over the country since Trump is alienating so many people at this point.

Cruz has only a 3-point lead in his Senate race in Texas. That's hard to believe, but it's true...his opponent's within the margin of error. The Dems may well knock him out of the Senate.

A few of these socialists have already won their primaries. Not just Ocasio-Cortez. Never underestimate the stupidity of voters.

I would submit that if a blue wave takes back the House AND Senate for the Dems, the media will have had a lot to do with it.

I'm not sure what's true and what's false anymore, there's so much propaganda saturating the airwaves and print media.

The pendulum always swings back and forth between the two parties. The Republicans bounced back after a lot of people thought it was dead in 2008. People are thinking the same about the Democrats. 

The problem for all of us is the two sides keep countering each other with extreme candidates on the far right and left (Trump isn't a hard core right winger but loves to play the part). "Obama is a Muslim bringing sharia law and was the very anti Christ." The left is hell bent on bringing Trump down at any and all costs sacrificing their integrity to do so. 

We need moderates but this country isn't capable of embracing them because rational thought is nearly extinct. The best we can hope for is gridlock.
