Well if we are being honest with ourselves if we would have released him 2 months ago, we don't know who would have taken his place, probably Cowart.  We didn't know that Fletcher was ready yet.  He came on fast.   Like I said in the other thread they wanted to make sure that the 2nd half of last year wasn't a fluke.  It was.

I just read in the paper yesterday that Scioscia says Valbuena is starting to turn things around will be important for the 2nd half of the season.

Angels will feel comfortable resigning Valbuena and including Fletcher in a trade package for a veteran or two.
