Angels Stadium is all right -- the stadiums mentioned in ScottT's post are all newer ballpark, most designed in the current era of smaller seating capacity parks with seats closer to the field and the action -- all the parks he mentioned -- and I have been to the ones in San Diego, Colorado and Seattle -- are better (and newer) than the city owned Anaheim Stadium.

AT&T in SF is a great ballpark and so is Safeco in Seattle.  Anaheim/ Angels Stadium can't match those ballparks.

But Angels Stadium still a good ballpark to watch baseball and certainly better than Oakland (that's not a high bar) -- as for Dodger Stadium - have not been there in some 20 years -- looks nice on TV, made some improvements over the years I hear -- not sure how they can expand the concourse area space which was always so narrow--- I think they added restrooms -- which they really needed -- and hopefully they changed food vendors from the monopoly given to the lowest bidder with food quality to match..........and then there's the parking lot issues........

Yeah, Anaheim Stadium much better (than Dodger Stadium) on those fronts........

Tampa is worse. So is Dodger Stadium.

Im over it though, especially having been to DC, Philadelphia, SF, Minnesota, etc... in recent years. Colorado, San Diego, and Seatlle are all much better, too.

Good to hear about the video boards.  Much needed.

Dodger stadium is 100x better than the big A.

A beautiful scenery, the renovations are state of the art, the scoreboards are amazing.

parking is the only thing that sucks.

Fourth oldest stadium in baseball. Not an inspired design to start with, they've done about as good as they could to upgrade but it's over 50 years old.

The LA favela’s are beautiful scenery ? It’s on top of a hill in the middle of a literal shit hole.

That said, Dodgers stadium has been upgraded quite a bit and is nicer then the big A.  Which is also a shit hole.  The parking is a deal breaker completely for the Doyer stadium tho.  Ability to fucking come and go is important.

I think the worst part is that Arte will keep the Angels in that stadium through 2029. They have a long to-do list.

1. Get rid of the homeless in that area.

2. Develop the area surrounding the stadium.

3. Rip out the rock pile and half the seats in the upper seats in RF and LF and put in some OC or So-Cal specific decor.

4. Update the playing field itself. Move the bullpen under ground and shorten the gap in left center, push the fence and scoreboard out 15 feet in RF and right center.

5. Rip out and update the plumbing and bathrooms.

6. Bring in better concessions (it's a lot better than it was 5 years ago).

7. Give the exterior portion of the stadium a facelift. Just cosmetic.

8. State of the art updates everywhere.

What exactly is this? A stucco house? An empty condo owned by Chinese investors? A strip mall with a Wahoo's? A 12 lane freeway? A 21 screen movie theater? Some palm trees that fall over every time there are Santa Ana winds?

Cover the outfield fence in graffitti.  The shitty kind, that is seen on the freeways.

Surround it with razor wire.

I have heard Arte got approval from Anaheim, when he re-negoiated the new lease, to construct 3 parking structures surrounding the stadium. Then develope the perimeter of the stadium (where the parking lot meets the curb) with shops and restrurants. However before upgrading the outside he has to spend $$$ on the intrastructure.

Their scoreboard boards are a stupid looking and are too small. Getting in and out of the parking lot is a nightmare with only 1 way in or out. The I-5 is to be avoided just before and after every home game.

ANAHEIM – The Anaheim City Council and the Angels gave their blessing to a developer’s plan to build a massive, L.A. Live-like project near Angel Stadium.

The council on Tuesday unanimously approved LT Global’s LT Platinum Center, a $450 million mixed-use development that would include a hotel, high-rise office buildings, stores, entertainment, apartments and condominiums on a 15-acre lot on State College Boulevard and Orangewood Avenue in the city’s Platinum Triangle area.
