I'm no sabermetrician, but here's what you do.

Go to baseball-reference.com. In the upper part of the home page, plug in Mike Trout and do the search. You will get his player page. Look for the drop down menu entitled "splits" and choose "career" or any year you want.

All his offensive numbers are down, across the board, in Sept/Oct. Especially this year.

But also take into account that it also includes September of 2011. That was Trout's first year in the big leagues in which he didn't do too hot. You know, before he became the player that we all know today. His overall slash line in his career in September/October are screwed because of 2011.

Yeah, and what about Pujols' performance prior to September? Those games before this month matters as well. If Pujols wasn't hitting like trash prior to September, the Angels might be ahead of the Twins in the Wild Card race and not behind!

Being tied:

Losing a game with 115 games left is bot as important as losing a game with 15 games left.

Now if we were ten games back in September i would say the May games were more important.

His slash line this month would be a big time disappointment for Trout. That is how far this dude has fallen, lowering expectations for the dude.

And that means nothing in this discussion.  FS says will all the recent losing why not mix up the line up.  So if we're going to mix the line up it's because of recent performance.  That's what this discussion is about.

What do you want him to do if pitchers are being little girls and not giving him anything good to hit? And no, they would not bring it up. Winning cures everything.

This is bullshit.  He's striking out, grounding out, hitting lazy fly balls.  He's not performing and it has nothing to do with being pitched around any more than usual.
