Upton had a .556 OBP in his first five games coming into today.  He had scored 6 runs in 5 games.

This game sometimes.  We actually had a starter that pitched longer than 3 innings and well enough to get the win but then the bats fall asleep.  Can't predict baseball.

Lol, we've got guys talking about DFA'ing Skaggs in another thread.  As you know the Angels have a bunch of guys in the minors waiting to replace these guys.

Skaggs charged with 3 runs now, and error removed from Upton. Guy still giving up runs, hours after he was pulled. ;D

Well, defensively in his case.   Phillips has mostly struggled at both parts of the game.   Is this where he needs the day off tomorrow to finally get settled in?

Phillips should definitely be playing everyday. 

There is also a very good argument that he shouldn't be batting higher than 6th or 7th in the lineup

Calhoun would be a good option to leadoff. Maybe Simmons against lefties

Well yeah. Eppler got him to be the 2nd baseman for the remainder of the year. He's not going to be benched.

But the "it's early" argument has run its course. We have 22 games left. Phillips better get his shit together fucking tomorrow.

My guess is the replay is only used to determine what the umpire called. . .hit by pitch or not hit by pitch.

The fact that the replay may have revealed something else both not called and not challenged (location of the foot) would be ignored.
