Hitters struggle after coming here.

Finley, GMJHGH, Mr. Pop-Up Wells, Ghost Pujols, Hackilton, etc.

What is causing hitters to struggle here after coming from other teams?  Bad advance scouting?   Bad GM work?   Too much Arte the talent scout?

The offense has sucked this decade, 2012 and 2014 excepted.

Yeah, Maybin outside of one month has been below average and nothing close to what he did in Detroit as far as BA.

That said, he has continued to walk and steal a bunhc more bases. 

I'm actually OK with the current Revere/Maybin LF platoon.

Finley: Old and probably off the juice. (Any time some guy comes in touting his miraculous workout routine...)

GMJ: Nobody but the Angels thought he was any good.

Wells: Decline had already started.

Pujols: "I have no legs! I have no legs!"

Hamilton: Cocaine is a hell of a drug.

I'd like to see a stat where the numbers of Pujols, GMJr, Hamilton & Wells with the Angels are combined & how much money they were paying per Hit or HR.

Them combined has got to be the worst investment in MLB history.

Vlad, Hunter, Leon Wagner, Bobby Grich, and Don Baylor... Hell, even Reggie came here at the ripe old age of 36 and led the AL with 39 HRs. 

It has become common place lately for the Halos to hand contracts out that in retrospect were not wise.

Simmons last year was the first established major league hitter since Brad Fullmer in 2002 to come to Anaheim and actually have his OPS go up over the previous season.

Angel Stadium can't be that bad for hitters.  Look at what Salmon, GA, and Glaus did here.

Yeah but Simmons isn't a power hitter like Hamilton, Pujols, Wells, and so on. When someone hits the ball in the air at the Big A late at night, the ball won't carry well since the marine layer is in effect.

I can't think of a single big contract that's ever worked out. Sometimes re-signs with the same team before the guy is in his 30's, but generally big signings do not work. Can anyone think of a big one that worked or looks like it will work through the whole contract?

I think myself and most Angels' fans were hoping he found something and turned a corner last year and give us at least .750 OPS.

Coming off a career year to not even matching his meager average. Yeah, disappointing.

The Halos have BY FAR the WORST OPS and SLG% in the AL.

Something caused that.

Finley was old.  They took a chance hoping he had one more year in him.  He didn't.

GMJ was a below average player.  Never understood this signing.  The dude was trash.

Too blessed to be stressed was way past his best years.

Pujols showed significant decline his season before the Angels signed him.  His body is breaking down.

Hamilton had drug issues and self-confidence issues.
