This game was typical. The offense scored a couple early runs, went into cruise control, gave up the lead with 2 outs, left tons of runners on base late.

And the peanut turned out to be covered in shit.

Am I forgetting anything?

Well, except for those two-month slumps Cron's a pretty decent hitter.

"pretty decent" is not the same as "good".

And "slumps" is plural. There can be more than one of them per season.

He had a 115 wRC+ last year... if he can stay on the field he will hit.

But those slumps can be brutal. May/June of 2015 comes to mind. .143 BA, 1 HR, 3 RBI in two months.

Granted, that was two years ago. But if our pitchers continue to go down with injuries, he's likely to be part of a trade before too long.
