Stan Musial 
April 15-June 12, 1947: 44 games, .202/.298/.345 
 
Willie Mays 
April 17-May 13, 1956: 22 games, .209/.303/.384, 3 HR 
 
Ted Williams 
beginning of 1959 season to June 9, .170/.296/.250
 
Willie Mays started his career 0-25 in 1951. In 1965, he had a stretch of 0-24. He still won the MVP that year. 
 
Hank Aaron during the 1973 season, a 7-56 slump. 
 
Carl Furillo in May, 1952: a stretch of 1-41. 
 
Mike Schmidt in 1985 
.189/.297/.328, start of season to May 22. 
 
Derek Jeter. On April 28, 2004, his numbers were .161/.247/.195. He went 0-32 at one point during the slump. 
 
Reggie Jackson 1983: 77-397 the entire season, a .194 BA (during one stretch he was 0 for 35) 
 
Roy Campanella 1954, hit .207 (82-397) for the season. 
 
Robin Ventura, an 0-41 stretch in his rookie year of 1990.

The problem is as the Dave Cameron article shows is that this isn't just a 20 game slump. Over the last 365 days and 650 plate appearances he's been terrible. That's the most concerning thing. Anyone want to give $25 million to Jason kubel?

He was incredible in April and May last year, then sucked for two months, then had a great August and September. Lets not skew facts here.
