Heard a rumor that there were threats made against the families of the NFL players by a drug cartel as revenge due to the start of the El Chapo trial. A lot of the players threatening to boycott was mostly due to fear for their safety. 

Don’t know how true it is, but it was discussed on WFAN today

Also, these refs are so terrible.  Just about every penalty they have called is wrong and they have missed so many actual penalties.

You could probably give each of these teams another 14 points if not for bad penalties.
