Tiger Woods looks to be done

looks like he's waving the white flag. can't do anything except walk right now. has no idea how long it will take to recover.

Maybe (hopefully) he's being a bit conservative this go around. Hopefully he comes back

honestly, when he was competitive in a tournament, it was automatically more interesting to watch. 

 

i get that he will never return to the guy who just crushed course after course, but i hope that he can find a swing that doesn't screw up his back anymore and will allow him to return to competition. maybe he can rekindle some of that old magic and win a few more tournaments. 

 

as for catching jack and the 18 majors, and even by his own admission, that boat has sailed.

He'll be that dude like Tom Watson or Couples that is older but makes runs and is the fan favorite for being the old dude.

He was too good and inspired people to play golf which bred some of these machines we see now. Kids wanted to be like Tiger instead of the next star in another sport. You still end up with some young studs as every generation does, but not like the boost because of Tiger that came after him.

played a round in pasadena in the early 2000s and got matched up with some kid who was black and wearing a red nike shirt, black pants, and a tiger woods hat. he couldn't hit the ball very far or very straight, but he certainly looked like he wanted to. i hope he kept up his game and got some lessons or coaching, and i hope he's a decent golfer that still plays today.
