Oh soooo close for LB, if only Bibbins' 3 pt shot with 5 sec left went in, LB is probably dancing.

Hawaii wanted it sooo bad, after losing to UCI in the title game a year ago.

Next season looks bright though with 6 key players returning including the possible BWC POTY next season in PG Justin Bibbins, plus standout LMU transfer SG Evan Payne (18 pts a game a year ago), redshirts Larond Williams and Temidayo Yussef, and at least a trio of solid freshmen recruits including Bibbins clone Loren Jackson and close to adding 7-1 HS center Khadim Gueye (Loren Jackson's teammate).

Haha, you love to hate on Altman but the man is a damn good coach and the one recruit that this is applicable to never played a single game for Oregon. Obviously, he should not have been recruited though.

Jim Bo-heem's invite as a 70s rpi team may be the biggest disgrace EVER!

Saint Mary's, Saint Bonnie, and Valpo (all 30s rpis before the league tourneys) ALL got the royal screw!

The BWCT winner, 13 seed Hawaii, faces the 4 seed Cal in the NCAAT.

LB gets the surprise NIT bid over UCI (CIT bid, playing North Dakota) as the 6 seed in their quadrant, and travels to U-Dub for tomorrow's 6pm game on espn2.

That winner likely faces San Diego State in a 2nd round game.

I've never understood the NIT. What is the point ?

Cash.

To give you an idea of the level of talent in the tournament, Florida is a two-seed in their region. They were 19-14 on the season, and they won four road games all season. One of those was at Navy.

UNLV passed on an NIT bid. Due to injuries, they only had 6-7 players available at the end of the season. The new coach is going to have his hands full. Of the six players eligible to return, three of them may declare for the NBA Draft.

Purdue may have had the biggest NCAAT choke ever, blowing a 14 point lead with under 4 min to play.

I originally had Yale over Baylor in the pool, and then changed it a couple of minutes later.    Stupid me!

Seton Hall didn't bother to show up against Gonzaga, after playing Top 10 caliber basketball for the past month plus.
