I would like to see our team play with the intensity the Royals played with, and I think Ersty would bring it.

 

BTW, how did Ersty come to the attention of the Dodgers?

 

 

 

Erstad might "bring it", but the players might leave it in their back pocket.  Not sure how MLB professionals would react to a college manager regardless of the fact he was a former player.  Do we have an example of someone who switched from college to MLB?  It seems to me that someone did follow this path before and it fizzled. Maybe a former ASU manager?

I might agree with you except Erstad was a MLB player so he has the cred.

In any case if Erstad wants to manage at the MLB level he should consider taking a coaching position first.
