Those are the OBPs, coming into today, of this lineup. Is it any wonder that we suck? Only two hitters on our entire roster have an OBP above .320, Trout and Jett Bandy (who has two plate appearances). There are 14 hitters on our roster with an OBP below .300. Meanwhile, 14 clubs have a team OBP above .320 and six of those are NL teams. Don't ever underestimate how truly awful this offense actually is.

The Angels have a MLB low .292 OBP, to go along with an AL low .296 wOBA and .143 Isolated Power rate since the all star break.

>>>Fire EVERYONE except Mike Trout. >>>

And the pitching staff.

I really think that Morin, Bedrosian, and the young pitchers will gain a lot from this year and come back better. Smith is having a bad year, but he will rebound, and Street is still a darn good closer.

A new pitching coach would do wonders for the staff, and we have young guys coming up, and Skaggs coming back.

SOME OFFENSE WILL MAKE THE PITCHING STAFF A HELL OF A LOT MORE EFFECTIVE!

Knowing that you have to hold teams virtually scoreless, and paint corners with every batter... takes a huge toll on pitchers.

A manager who will let players hit both righties and lefties (instead of being in love with every f'n possible platoon situation) and play for the big inning once in a while (this is the AL dammit) would help immensely.

A couple of additions and a serious MENTAL ATTITUDE RESET, and this team will be well poised to contend next year.
