One day soon that golden voice will disappear from the airwaves forever, and baseball will be poorer for it. You don't have to be a Dodger fan to appreciate one of the greatest broadcasters in the history of sports.

Next year, we won't have to hear an announcement about him coming back for another year.

Definitely has earned all the respect given to him, and it will be an unfortunate day for baseball when he's gone. That all said, all the doyer pride in an announcer is kind of nauseating. I hate it when my dodger friends talk about how they get to "listen to vin" honestly I could give shit. I'll take not having to go that filthy hell hole stadium or not having to hear the term "doyers" used affectionately.... thanks tho.

The get to listen to Vin because they can't get the TV broadcast due to Time Warner being A-Holes.

Vin Scully is so awesome that I actually watch Dodgers games specifically to hear him despite loathing the Dodgers.
