Good article.  Often wonder what would of been if they would of left Mike in that game against Boston and not brought in Donny Moore. How different Angels history may have been, and how Donny's life might have been.  Glad to see Mike being recognized tonight for a great Angel career.

You leave your big gun in the game at all cost, unless you have mariano rivera in the BP. Can you imagine 88 Dodgers relieving Hershiser for lefty to lefty purposes or 14 bumgarner in that same instance. I understand Lucas got Gedman out in the previous game, but what a nightmare ending. Gedman gets hit by Lucas with the 1st pitch and then the Donnie Moore fiasco . I'm sure the Sox were relieved and built up some hope and energy when Mach took out the great Mike Witt
