i'd probably have giavotella bat second, calhoun third and pujols fourth, then keep abyar fifth and go from there.

David Murphy > Giavotella. He is at worst the fourth best hitter we have to face RHP, so having him hit cleanup when Trout is out is hardly unreasonable. In fact I'd say it's common sense.
