Good for Dipoto

Coming clean. . .

I was mostly annoyed at the organizational dysfunction where the manager doesn't appear to respect that he works for the GM, and that the owner seemed to allow that.

Clearly Moreno sided with Scioscia.  And that's fine but then FIRE the damn GM and restore some order in the organization.

Dipoto then quit, and that was absolutely the right decision for him personally.  His subordinate was insubordinate and his boss didn't have his back.

So from an organizational analysis perspective Dipoto was probably "right" compared to the other two BUT the more important reality is the Angels are far better off without Jerry Dipoto.

My point above would be incomplete if I didn't mention that I also think the team is better off now without Scioscia.

Forget game strategy and wins and losses, I just think it is a bad idea to have a field manager have that amount of power.

Eppler is a better GM, and his manager Ausmus probably is functionally subordinate, and Arte probably has the GMs back now.
