I like Vatanen/Theodore. Be kinda fun to see those pairings, constant pressure in the offensive zone & alot of speed.

Would help them in 3 on 3 overtime to make up for the lack of speed.

Also, don't forget.  We have one of the top rated scoring young defensemen in the AHL, who's currently #24 in all scoring.  And it's not Theodore.

Bieksa doesn't have any trade value.  He is appropriately paid, teams would maybe give up a 4th rounder or something for him but nothing special.

Rakell, IMO, is clearly priority #1. Our defensive depth allows for Lindholm to be #2.

I'm pretty sure Bieska has a NTC so I don't think he's going anywhere.  Vatman is the most likely candidate to get shipped out.

Maybe someone is shopping?  It would be one thing if it was Dobin in there.  But we have two quality NHL goalies.  So it doesn't bother me to keep them both fresh.  Let's just shut out the Bruins and call it a roadtrip.

yea that'll be just fine.  I don't mean to hate on Andersen.  I just feel like there is something to be gained by just letting Gibson have the net.  He's a young goalie so building endurance is a good thing.  I also believe that goalies are best served by getting as many starts as possible.  Going back and forth between them doesn't really do any one any good.  Especially with this being the last game for a week.  Anyway, hopefully Andersen gets it done.

Ducks composed themselves well after a messy start. The D suppressed 5 on 5 shots well. That Boston power play looks real good tho, probably a bad idea to test them too often.

Vatanen/Theodore worked on that PP it seems. Keep them together when Fowler is back, bench Bieska or rotate him with a struggling Despres.

Hopefully Depres is up 2 speed by the time Fowler is back in a week or 2. Pretty important for our D core that he's playing up 2 capability. Was pretty evident that the speed of the NHL game was eating him up there in that period. I was a little surprised that Bruce started him. Probably would have been good to ease him back in. Anyway, he'll adjust quickly. I'm not worried about it.

I'm not sure if it's more hilarious or upsetting that Kevin Bieksa has more even strength goals then Ryan Getzlaf. Little bit of both I guess. Let's wrap this one up and hope San Jose and Arizona lose tonight.
