Vernon Wells Speaks

Recommended Posts

I was about to say that Wells was staying classy with that Tweet, until I read that as responding to the ire this one created. Hint: It's called damage control.

@VernonWells10: "Winning is like, so much better than losing!"

Can't disagree with him there.

That and never count out the Yankees. Going into the season everyone was expecting us to do well and them to start out in the cellar. Didn't really play out that way.

They have pitching and a servicable bullpen.

We do not.

Well, they did start out in the cellar, in that they lost Opening Day and 2/3 against the Sox,

Vernon's batting .310 with 3 doubles, 2 homers, 4 RBI, 5 BB...he even has a SB.  wow

he even has some luck on his side this season too...in yesterdays game w/ the bases loaded he hit a deep flyball to center that adam jones (o's) misplayed and all 3 base runners scored. it went down as an error but still, wells wont be blasted by NY media for failing to get the job done...all 3 runners came around and it was the difference in the game

Don't understand the Vernon hate.  He wasn't the one who negotiated his contract and he wasn't the one who traded for himself.

thats what fans do, they find something to b*tch about...wells just happened to be one of the topics the last few years

I don't think people would have cared as much as they did that Vernon was overpaid, if we did not have to witness Napoli ramming up our ass every time he got the  chance.

That deal, IMHO, is the moment this team jumped the shark.

The Angels may have jumped the shark, but only one man has jumped the shark twice:
