I don't understand why so many people are reading negative things into Wells' statement. He was never a problem while he played here, and I don't believe that he is taking a shot at us now. That just isn't his style.

The problem was Reagins agreeing to take Vernon's contract. Even if he wanted to go for Wells he shoudl've talked the Jays into sending more money, and Wells' was a poor match given we're in a pitching park. But if we'd got him for say half his salary at $10M a year  don't think there would've been nearly as much b*tching about him.

Honestly, Wells could be rubbing it in. He has handled everything with more class than Torii did.
