Hopefully the Pirates stay hot and overtake the lead for the division, followed by the Cubs eliminating the Cardinals during the wild card round.

Today is a big day for the Angels. I don't think any of us expected a sweep, but when you win the first two you obviously want the sweep. The teams ahead of us are the Yankees, Twins, Rangers and Astros. The Twins face Chris Sale, the Yanks face Toronto, the Rangers and Astros are both throwing guys with 4.2 ERAs, and obviously if we win the Astros lose. I would LOVE the sweep, but regardless 2 of 3 is solid.

2 of 3 would be "solid" in June. In mid-September where the team is in the standings, only a sweep is going to gain enough ground to be termed "solid".

We have 4 games against the Twins, 4 games against the Rangers, and 4 games against the Astros. We have to do our own dirty work.

We play Texas and the Twins four more times, if we win those series we pick up two games on each of them. I REALLY like our chances of making the playoffs if that happens.

We are only 3.5 back of Houston with 4 games against them. It's unlikely but certainly not impossible that we could win the division.
