Josh Hamilton Timeline?

The only ones that care about this decision is the fans. It's funny that some are outraged, it doesn't matter if the decision was last week or this week. We aren't at the trade deadline, there isn't a free agent available. The Angels aren't waiting on pins and needles for this decision because they've known for a couple months he wouldn't be ready for the start of the season.

Im just looking forward to MLB freeing the Angels of his contract to be honest.

Bengie Molina could run a marathon quicker than MLB can make a decision.

hey, comments like this belong in the weather thread, as in "things that will happen before socal gets normal rainfall."

you better hope AO doesn't see what you've done here.

Well, from my stand-point, I think it may make a difference on the 25 / 40 man roster if suddenly you going to have to deal with making a decision on Hamilton in 30 days, six months or one year.

They already know he will be on the DL for awhile and have made plans accordingly.  If he is suspended, it wouldn't affect the moves they have already made to fill his spot. Plus, I doubt they are planning for Hamilton to be gone long term anyway.

I think it would be a lot fairer to the Angels to have some information on the length of JH's suspension sooner rather than later, but at this point IMHO they need to proceed as if he's completely gone. And I kinda think that's what they're doing. They're not even mentioning his return, really. And given the fact that his rehab from the surgery doesn't even seem to be progressing and there's no evidence he's going to be able to help the team in any way. they might proceed the exact same way even without a suspension looming.

Everyone acts like the Angels may have already heard or will hear before the other MLB teams about Josh but this could not be the case as this would give the Angels an advantage with another team that might have an outfielder that we could go after.

I don't think that Hamilton's fate will change anything in the Angels plans moving forward. They already have plenty of outfield depth and the DH position is covered.
