dennis miller had a joke back after the '84 election. "walter mondale spent $40 million and barely beat me. i didn't even run and he only had 3 more electoral votes than me."

 

at the time, $40 mil seemed obscene. today it's just a drop in the bucket. we need some reasonable limits here.

Absolutely, I would add that they should stop spending so much on campaigns and politics and start spending on the poor.
