As an aside, Zach Borenstein went 3-4 with 4 SB yesterday. Seems like he isn't skipping a beat in AA so far.

I tried to get his autograph but he ignored me. Maybe he is just focused on the game and might be willing to sign after. I really pumped to see him play

I saw the bit about the 4 SBs. Speed really wasn't a part of his game last year, but I'm glad to see his hammy isn't bothering him anymore. Every scout I've talked to is watching him this year to see how he does in AA. If he does well, then he will destroy all the doubts about him and will be seen as a much higher ceiling prospect. I'm hoping and betting he does.

It was his calf.

While he's not a burner, Zach does have good wheels and is a smart baserunner. I'm pretty excited to watch his development this season.

Are you at the game? Horrible routes to the ball. I'm wondering if the high sky and or sun is the issue. That's why I'm asking how he is defensively.

No, watching on MiLB.TV. Agree to disagree, I guess. The first one was a hit all the way. The second one he had a chance, but that's not a routine play at all.

Sitting on the 3rd base side and his route to the ball especially the first one was pretty bad. I bet if you asked him he would say he should of caught it. He made a great effort in the 1st or 2nd on a diving play......almost came up with it.

Hard to see a players reaction and route taken to the ball off the bat on TV. Wish I were at the game right now.

It's a perfect day to watch a ball game here in Texas. Got a chance to talk to Alex's Mom a little bit. I gave AW a shout out and told her everyone is really excited about her son playing for the Angels someday.
