So for those of us unable to make games early this season, I'm dying to know.  Is Buttercup still being played?  And if not, what took its place?  It didn't look good for Buttercup at Fanfest... sounded like the Powers That Be were getting the message!

I don't get the hatred for this song. I never pay attention to it and it doesn't bother me since I rarely notice it's ever on. The 30 seconds they play it doesn't change my life one way or another.

At the Spring Fanfest, Tim Mead did indicate that it was a favorite with some of the senior people in the organization, he didn't say who.

I don't hate it, matter of fact I didn't even know there was an issue with the song until everyone on here had an issue with it. Tim Mead eluded to it being someones favorite song, which got me to believe that perhaps it was Mrs. Moreno's favorite. If it is, knowing what I know, I have zero problem with them playing the song.

I was pretty emotional after trout's 1st inning HR off King, only to be let down by the buttercups on the field, and the mound.

I don't like it for the building up and letting down reference....but what really grinds my gears is that it feels like a forced tradition on us....they have decided it is our Sweet Caroline.  But nobody likes it/cares.

Nothing is worse than listening to the freakin' Buttercup song when the boys are down runs in the 7th.  That really sucks!

 

Only redeeming events last night was seeing Trout get his Silver Slugger Award, getting the bobble head, and Ibanez' blast.
