question re: tv and dvr

That is correct.

And if you want, you can also run an ethernet cable along with it to (even if you don't use it now, you might in the future want to connect your TV to the network, so do it now while the wall is open).

And like I mentioned, for power you *cannot* just run a power line in a wall. So tell your electrician to put an outlet up the wall where the TV will go so that it will be behind it.

So on the wall you will have your TV mount, the power outlet, and the HDMI cable which is run in the wall. Plug the power to the TV, the HDMI to the TV, and mount that baby.

And you're done!

Thanks again man. You truly helped me understand how this works. I just went and got two HDMI cables, and two wall outlets for them. And yes, the electrician will be doing the wires are properly.

You can get HDMI cables for $2 on Amazon. Or just do as I do, and just take them from Tank's TV when he's not looking.

why you crafty little weasel. that sure explains a lot.

also, my wife wants her tupperware containers back, jerkface. i don't care if you steal my hdmi cables, but by golly, stealing a man's tupperware IS JUST GOING TOO FAR!!!!!

man, reading this thread makes me feel bad about myself and inadequate about my tv setup. we have a 46" tv but the cables that connect to the blu-ray are on the left side of the tv and can't really be hidden. my wife has been fine with it, but it looks sloppy and some day it may actually start to bother me.

and yes, i rely on tv speakers for my sound.

i may have to hire one of you to come and fix my stuff properly.
