Select a Seat experience

I went to select a seat today and I was a bit surprised. There were more seats this year but not significantly more. I was looking to add or upgrade in 427 or club MVP but there were no better options to choose. Last year I was able to add in 427.

In fact my season ticket rep told me I can not add any more seats even if I wanted. I have 16 right now but she told me the max is 8 but they are not enforcing the requirement for me to drop some. She said I definitely could not add though.

I suspect there is not that huge of a drop off of season ticket holders this year and demand is still pretty strong despite the tough last few years. I suspect attendance will be similar to last year maybe minus 2-3k per game. I had predicted 8-10k drop but obviously I will be wrong. I still don't think opening day will really sell out (as opposed to a technical sell out). There will be walk up seats that can be bought on opening day from the Angels is my guess as well as a bunch of open seats in the upper corners like last year.

There was way more available in RF pav, RF MVP, FIELD MVP than I have ever seen before.  Probably a good 20-30 seats in sec 111 which is the one right above the Angels dugout.  There will plenty of tickets available at the box office for every game this year and they will have to send out promo codes the week of to sell their overpriced product.  The ticket office folk better hope for a strong start or I suspect their will be changes made in that department due to lack of ticket sales.
