IGNORED

The Not So Secret Service

First there were the prostitutes in Columbia and now in two separate incidents the Presidents detail has been compromised.

On November 2nd there was the suicide of agent Rafael Prieto, that when notified about an investigation into a non disclosed relationship with a foreign national, decided to take his own life casting a shadow on the agency again.

If that was not enough another agent was removed from the President's detail for an off duty incident involving agent Ignacio Zamora. It appears he went to hotel room with a women he met in a bar, left a bullet from his service pistol and when he went to retrieve it she would not let him back in the room. He then identified himself to the security of the hotel and demanded entry into the room.

An investigation into the matter showed that he had sent sexually suggestive texts to another female agent and further investigation showed another supervisor, Timothy Barraclough sending similar texts to the same female agent. Both have been reassigned.

There are way, way too many people authorized to carry weapons and get high level security clearances in this country. Anyone who has met more than 20 people in their lifetime knows there aren't close to enough competent, sane, willing individuals to fill these jobs. Ergo, we will continue to read stories of knuckleheads with badges, guns, access to sensitive or dangerous materials acting irresponsibly or downright criminal.

GOD BLESS AMERICA?

I'm not buying this story until I see the official AW count of the number of bullets left in the room.
