And on the flip side.  The Angels pitchers, who gave up homers that averaged the longest distance.

#3, clocking in with 29 dingers, at an average distance per dinger of 393.1 feet.   Joe Blanton  And he's towards the bottom third of the rankings.

#2, win an impressive 23 dingers, at an average distance per dinger of 404.2 feet.  Jerome Williams.

#1, with a decreasing arm strength at 17 dingers, at an average distance per dinger of 405 feet.  Jered Weaver.

There really was no qualifier here, so #2 is surprising. It's the whole reason I even decided to post about it.

1. Mike Trout (419 ft)

3. Mark Trumbo (413.4 ft)

and drumroll....

2. Peter Bourjos (418.67) - He only has 1,256 ft. worth of home runs, which is still better than Shuck.

Trumbo has hit his home runs a total 2.66 miles, bested only by:

Miguel Cabrera (3.36 mi)

Chris Davis at (3.92 mi)

Why did I choose miles as my unit? It just seems cooler. By the way, Mike Trout has only hit his a paltry 2.06 miles. I guess his season wasn't so great after all.

Speaking of this topic, does anyone know if there's somewhere that lists these numbers, especially historical stats. I'd love to see single season and career leaders in this.
