WTF is with this bleeping weather?

Recommended Posts

Yep, nothing until around February 20 as of now

El Nino, meet the stupid PERMANENT Ridiculously Resilient High Pressure system, the most stubborn thing since having to suffer through watching Hackilton try to make solid contact with the baseball.

And neither the 82-83 El Nino (11-12 inches from October through January in SoCal) nor 97-98 El Nino (8-9 inches from October through January in SoCal) were nearly as dry as this one has been (3-4 inches from October through January in SoCal).

Funny, weren't all experts saying this one was on par with those two?

Could have fooled me.

The 98 El Nino dropped most of its rain in March. This one is projected for a very wet March and April. Just in time to wipe out the first couple of weeks of baseball. I'm sure that will make you happy.

1998 actually saw 13 inches in February and only 2 inches in March.

1983 saw 5-6 inches for February and March each.

The long range prognosticators have been promising rain in SoCal since January.

Where is it? El Wimpo, for So Cal anyway!

I wish luck to those impacted by the drought, the magnitude of which SoCal has never, EEEVER had before.

Only in the late 50s/early 60s did one even compare to this one. That one though even had one season of nearly 20 inches of rain.

FIVE straight years of this!

Oh and to those prognosticators saying March will be rainy...March generally does NOT produce the most rainfall in a SoCal year. That would generally be February, which will be TOTALLY dry through the first half of it.

"LONG RANGE XTND FCST MDLS CONTINUE TO INDICATE DRY CONDS UNTIL NEAR THE END OF THE MONTH WITH A PATTERN SHIFT ARRIVING SOME TIME AROUND THE FIRST OF MARCH."

So AO with NOAA forecasting something like this, does that mean it will definitely rain a lot at the end of the month (seeing as they are hacks and all)?
