Tapping into The Sarasota H2O w/ the Orioles Flock

With your #1 Pitcher under control, Lefty at that, and you're willing to give that up for 2 or more players under control, you wouldn't?

I would if it's for any of those players I just mentioned from the post before, a position player and a pitcher if possible, particularly.

I have the MLB app, and watched Cole Irvin pitch Sunday vs KC. Which was a rebound outing for him, but the announcers also mentioned how Povich lurked with supplanting his spot in the rotation before that. Why not, his ERA is .093 w/ Norfolk.

Noticing that, taking Irvin would be the lesser between the 2 in compensation for Detmers, but more at position player. Or, vice versa with taking Povich. I'm only speaking from scenario, but that's timing and strategy involved here.

I mean I don't know how many different ways I can phrase it. You're not going to the package you're dreaming about from the Orioles. They don't need Detmers and he doesn't fit what they're building.

Also, Irvin is nothing. He's a 29 year old career 4.42 ERA pitcher who survives on weak contact. Notice he has pitched for the A's and Orioles, the two most unfavorable home parks for batters. You could probably get him for Jose Suarez if you wanted.

Kjerstad's being called up tomorrow, Mayo's probably not far, while Holliday might be still a little green and sent back down.  Then, there's Norby, and as you alluded too, Povich.

Their Rotation with Burns and Gray-Rod as the 1-2 is solid, Braddish could be at 3 if he returns to form.  Yet, if they develop issues with 3-5 (between Kramer, Braddish, Irvin, and Wells) in their starting rotation, they're going to be looking, as they most assuredly have the pieces to deal for the top notch SP, especially if he's Lefty.

The Angels should position themselves among those options. I certainly would.
