Nobody thinks they're anywhere close to as reliable as Rosenthal or Passan, but there are people in organizations who have inside info or know someone who does. 

This is true, I can attest to this. My good friend told me about the Scherzer and Turner trade to the Dodgers well before it happened (maybe half a day before it was reported). He has a connection in the Dodgers organization who told him.
