Angels suffer more injuries.

(The inference from fewer days could be that the Angels have more "phantom" ILs in here, or else that their standard for putting guys on the IL has been lower, when other teams may just have the guy sit out for 4-5 days but the Angels put him on the IL for 10.

Or that the Angels rush players back from injury.

See: Rendon/Trout not going on rehab assignments.

Neto rushing back after the first time he went on the IL, with no rehab assignment.

The Dodgers have a million injuries, but Betts and Freeman are out there every day. The Braves pitching staff has had a million injuries, but Acuna and Riley and Olson are out there every day.

So the question is, how come the Dodgers top guys have been more healthy than the Angels top guys?

In the Braves case, you can say it’s because their guys are younger. But the Dodgers guys are of a similar age.

Betts: 30.11

Freeman: 34.0

Trout: 32.1

Rendon: 33.3

When you’re talking about why any 2 people are different from each other, I don’t think it has to do with what uniform they are wearing.

So you think they rush them back and your reasoning is no rehab assignment?  That’s bad logic.

How is that bad logic?

The question is: why do the Angels IL’d players have fewer days spent on the IL?

And going on a rehab assignment adds a few more days to an IL stint.

Seems like fine logic to me.

Because they aren’t going on the 10 day IL and coming back on day 11.  They are going on the 10 day IL and coming back on day 15-20.  Additionally when was the last time as a fan, did you think that a player came back quickly from the IL compared to what was first reported. They aren’t skipping rehab assignments to get them on the field sooner. They skip them and have them ramp up for those days but with the team.

That average is based on 28 different IL stints over 4 years, so I don't think a few rehab assignments could make that much difference. Also, it's only the "muscle injuries" so Trout's back, Rendon's wrist, Trout's hand aren't even included in those numbers.

well, that eliminates that theory.

Every site needs theorists, statisticians, and minimum wage earners for spell checkers.

Exactly why Angels win is fortunate to have me, Jsn pritchett, and Strad.

Why wouldn't he be back next year?

Everyone associated with the team seems to think he does a good job.

Stay off social media.  You'll be much happier, and not as likely to be misled and coaxed into stupid conclusions.

Look, you can keep playing this game but you made a demand someone apologize if their predictions didn't pan out, how will you apologize if Nevin is let go? Will you ban yourself from the Angelswin message board? Are you going to stay off social media so you can be blindly happy with your opinion?

What will you do if Phil Nevin isn't given a contract extension? Don't sidestep, have some backbone and be honest.
