One thing that I have noticed in my 45 years of being a fan of this team is that they rarely bring back former Angels for a 2nd go round. I don't know why that is, but it has always been that way.

Chili Davis, and Tony Phillips, are two I can think of. I'm sure there's a lot more, but it's not common.

Well, I guess we can add Cron to the list. Almost can add Grichuk, but the only time he ever wore an Angels' uniform was maybe in Spring Training.

I seem to remember a grand slam that Cron hit against the Mets in May 2017. He gave Scioscia a dirty look on the way back to the dugout, and was sent back to Salt Lake the next day. Those were back in the days when Mike had complete control over who was on the 25 man roster.

Jim Abbott. Wally Joyner almost made it for 2012 (but retired during Spring Training?). Tyler Skaggs and Alberto Callaspo (Although they were in the minors when traded away). If they could bring back Corbin and Garrett Richards, the 2009 draft (except for one) would all be back together again. It would be pretty cool. I would imagine the Nats would unload Corbin in a heartbeat if someone were willing to take on his 2024 salary. Richards is unsigned still?

Joyner actually did play for us again in 2001.
